6If you have been dating for some time and recently experienced a breakup, it can truly take the wind out of your self esteem. No one likes to be dumped or made to feel unloved. In many ways a serious breakup will leave a person feeling lonely and perhaps even a little insecure about themselves. One thing is for sure, being kicked to the curb does not make you feel all that sexy either. However, despite how crummy it feels to endure a breakup, it never hurts to do what you can to lessen the proverbial blow. Here are a few mantras that will help you to regain your confidence and get back to feeling normal again.

1. He does Not Deserve Me Anyway

Your boyfriend may have initiated the breakup, but that does not mean he was deserving of you
in the first place. In fact, if you really think about it, you are probably better off without him anyway. Nothing says how little he deserves you than starting a relationship with someone else who does deserve your love and companionship. No one said you had to sit at home and be depressed either. There are many men who are not only more deserving, but know they would be lucky to have you as their girlfriend and lover.

2. He Will Miss Me Now That It Is Over

It may help to realize that dumping you was a big mistake on your ex-boyfriend’s part. Eventually, if you sit back and watch things play out, he could potentially start to miss you. In such a case, it is up to you if you want to let him come crawling back or not. It actually happens more often than you might think. Sometimes guys simply have no idea how good they have it. Just remember, when he comes crawling back, you want chocolate, flowers, and expensive jewelry. Hey, a girl should not go without, right?

3. It Is Time for an Upgrade

When your boyfriend breaks up with you, then it is time to start thinking about dating a higher quality man. Finding a guy who is not so shallow and that respects you as a woman is what upgrading is all about. You have probably not noticed all the quality men around that would treat you far better than you have been treated in the past. Some of these guys may be diamonds in the rough, but if you want to be treated as you truly deserve, then it is time to upgrade to a man who will make the effort.

4. I Need a Real Man

When your boyfriend wimps out on commitment and throws in the towel, it is time to recognize
that you have been wasting your time with another loser. Instead of being depressed for weeks
on end, it is best to focus on looking for a real man. A real man knows how to carry himself around women. In addition, a real man is not afraid of commitment, and he is not looking to jump ship at the first opportune moment. Furthermore, a real man will quickly make you forget
about what’s his face!

5. I’m Through With Men Forever

Okay, this last one is probably not true, but it sure feels good to say it after a harsh breakup.
Sometimes a woman just needs a cause to rally behind to regain her center. That and a night out with the girls will probably help the breakup recovery effort. Of course, if you are going out, you might as well dress up and look hot to trot. Just because you are swearing off men forever does not mean you actually mean it, right?
