Ah, long distance relationships: some people agree that they’re doomed from the start, while others argue that they really can last. Regardless of your position, one thing is clear: having regular sex when you’re far from your honey can be a challenge. But luckily, in the era of smartphones, tablet computers and the omnipresent Internet, there are ways to stay ‘connected’—whether you’re in the same city or on different continents.
Smooth (phone) operator
It’s a pretty basic technique, but phone sex is highly effective. Not only does it require minimal gadgetry (a regular cell phone—even a good old-fashioned landline—will do), but it also leaves the visual part to the imagination, or up for description, which can sometimes be even sexier than seeing.
Sexting
The practice of sending text messages with sexual innuendo (that may or may not include a sexy snapshot) may seem a little out there, but we think it can be beneficial to couples who live far apart. If done in good taste and with someone you trust, a bit of visual foreplay can help keep that flame going! Be careful, though, in regards to whom you share pics with: you wouldn’t want them falling into the wrong hands or in front of the wrong pair of eyes.
