When fall settles in, we generally fall into more of a routine. We eat at home more often, and go to bed earlier, and we also head back to the gym! If you don’t like to wait in line to use the machines, but you still want to tone your body, here are three moves you can do just with weights. Whether you do them at the gym or at home is up to you. There are so many exercises you can do for your obliques, breasts and butt, but today, we’re focusing on the arms. Say “goodbye” to flab and “hello” to muscles that are sexy and toned.
Yup, good old push-ups. Everyone knows them, but most people don’t like doing them. Have fun finding accessories and different variations: it’ll keep things interesting. Check out the details here.
Biceps curl
Do this simple move to work your biceps. With a weight in each hand and your palm facing forward, lift the weights up to your shoulders one side at a time. Be sure to keep your arm straight so that only your forearm is moving. Check out the details here.
Vertical tricep extensions
This exercise is definitely one of my favourites. Place the weight behind your head, holding it with both hands. Straighten your arms without extending them completely, and start over. To add an extra level of difficulty, I like to increase the weight with every series, which makes my muscles work even harder. Check out the details here. And if you want to work out with a video instead of still images, here’s one I especially like. Have a good workout!
