Who says November says mustache, and who says mustache says Movember. This year again for 30 days, men are encouraged to let their mustaches grow, and slowly become men’s health promoters on legs. This is done in the goal of raising awareness for men’s health, especially for prostate cancer and mental health. We, women, have the role of supporting them throughout this initiative. The first thing to do is to help them find the mustache style that goes with their personality!
For the shy ones: the pencil
The pencil mustache is slim, straight, and follows the line of the upper lip. It particularly suits men with less facial hair and a long and slim face. It reminisces the arrival of the first hairs, and although very discreet, it is unforgettable!
For the avant-garde ones: the toothbrush
Thick and around one inch large, comfortably set in the middle of the upper lip, the toothbrush mustache was very popular in the beginning of the 20th century. Worn by Charlie Chaplin, it lost its popularity after Hitler. Recently, Michael Jordan wore it proudly for a Hanes ad. Will this controversial mustache make a comeback? It’s up to your man to advertise this!
For the humoristic ones: the handlebar The curvy extremities of this mustache look like the handlebars of a bicycle, and automatically draw on a smirk on anyone sporting this funny look, perfect for men who like to make others laugh. This perfectly suits men with prominent noses.
For the manly ones: the chevron
Is your beau a fan of Tom Selleck? He should sport the same mustache as his idol! The chevron, large and thick, covers a small part of the upper lip (which is why we can feel it!). Will this 80s star seduce you?
For the rebellious ones: the horseshoe
Does he like leather, Harleys, wrestling and big pickup trucks? He’s going to love the horseshoe mustache. Thick or thin, it circles around the mouth to form an upside down “U”. Hulk Hogan had it, now it’s up to you to decide whether or not you want your man to try this edgy style!
Even though growing a mustache is a man’s thing, we, ladies, play a crucial role in the success of Movember. Let’s convince our significant other, friends and colleagues to proudly wear their mustaches!
